T3 - Our Anchor

Teresa Sands

Jesus is the ultimate Life-Saver because he offers salvation and a path to eternal life.

"For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it." (Luke 9:24)

The compass can symbolize direction or guidance, and represents God's presence and protection.

An anchor represents hope, steadfastness, and security in God's promises and salvation through Jesus Christ. It's a symbol of stability and trust, especially during difficult times. The anchor was a popular symbol of Early Christianity, used in artwork and engravings as a secret code to reference the cross. Jesus is the ultimate Anchor that keeps us grounded in faith and hope, even amidst life's storms.  "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."  (Hebrews 6:19)

The three symbols of Jesus are linked together as the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity.
